Advanced methods at the forefront of maternal-fetal medicine.
Today, blood clotting disorders (thrombophilias) are known to influence intrauterine growth restriction, miscarriage and stillbirth. To find thrombophilias, we run more blood tests and do more in-depth workups than is typical for MFM providers. We are also one of the few MFM practices in the western U.S. routinely performing a procedure called chorionic villus sampling to find chromosomal abnormalities weeks earlier than with amniocentesis. We use these leading-edge techniques, and others, to save pregnancies and help women make informed choices.
