Wilson H. Huang, MD SUBSPECIALIST IN MATERNAL- FETAL MEDICINE
“Medicine has fascinated me for most of my life. The ability to heal appealed to me, and it still does. For me, it is a pursuit that never ends. In maternal-fetal medicine, for instance, we know much more today about pregnancy risks — and screenings, diagnostics and therapies — than ever before. There will be new discoveries tomorrow. There will be new developments that can help more women have a healthy pregnancy that ends in the successful birth of a healthy, happy baby. Maintaining that ability to help people, to ‘heal’ them, means I have to stay current with the advances in caring for high-risk pregnancies. And I’m committed to that.
“Of course, perinatal care is collaborative. Of the tens of thousands of women I have helped since becoming a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, all of them have been essential to the success of their care. I depend on their own dedication and resolve. So the least I can do is be as resolute and wholeheartedly dedicated myself.”
