Stephen M. Wold, MD, MPH
SUBSPECIALIST IN MATERNAL- FETAL MEDICINE

Pregnant women and the babies they carry deserve the best medical care possible. For me, it’s that simple. Because I specialize in high-risk pregnancies, I keep this singular objective in mind. The care I provide must be as informed, skilled and appropriate as it can be, because it’s what both mother and baby deserve. My goal is to provide both with the best possible outcome, which is a healthy pregnancy that comes to full term and results in a healthy baby.

“I never forget that I chose medicine because I want to help people. It’s also the reason I decided to become an obstetrician and, later, a subspecialist physician in maternal-fetal medicine. I strive to offer the most complete, advanced care because there are people who need a higher level of focus, skill and commitment. I enjoy a challenge. I enjoy the immense rewards of helping these women and couples realize their dream of having a child. But I most enjoy knowing that I am there to make a difference for people who really need it.”
